Youth Action Project has had the pleasure of working with Community Action Blackburn for over five years running. Providing music workshops and Peer Education. Repeat requests have been made over the years asking for our Peer Educators and music staff to support the P6&7 Blackburn schools conference, to work with pupils, encouraging them to identify and express their views on their community though the media of music, drama and dance.

CAB also support an additional weekly Streetwork session, increasing the capacity of our service to Blackburn. The Streetwork team engage with young people in the community and address issues relating to youth disorder.

2014 saw the YAP Music team working with pupils and staff from Pinewood School where they recorded and performed the song ' Three Little Birds ' at the annual interschool p6/7 conference.

Below you can hear some of the recordings made by children from Pinewood School in Blackburn over the last few years. Enjoy!
